What could be more perfect than a round of golf , a leisurely 50 yard stroll back to your luxury accomodation and the opportunity to relax , wine and dine on the terrace overlooking the 9th green with the afternoon sun beaming in through the pines.

Red squirrels frolic on the lawn and in the trees , deer occasionally appear from the neighbouring woods and all varieties of bird life can be seen , including woodpeckers searching for grubs in the bark and finches pecking at your feet whilst you eat your lunch on the terrace .

Nearby are the 2000+ year old megaliths at Carnac and Locmariaquer.

The nearest beach ,which is huge , at Kerhilio , is exactly 5 miles away with safe bathing and also sand yachting and wind surfing.
The ancient quay at St Goustan in nearby Auray , is around 10 minutes away and has many beautiful waterside restaurants arranged around the quaint harbour for a really atmospheric dining experience at a very reasonable cost.

Slightly further afield is the ancient city of Vannes set on the picturesque Bay of Morbihan.
The local shops have every essential.Ploemel , about 2 miles away has a boulangerie to collect the breakfast croissants ,as does Belz which is just up the road which also has a small  Super-U supermarket , garage , ironmonger and selection of shops and banks.
Auray has a number of hypermarkets , the nearest being Le Clerc / Lidl / Super U where it is possible to buy a huge variety of food , wine , electrical goods or even a new car.There is an information folder at the house with directions.
