Villa at St Laurent Golf Course 

The area is in the middle of an area abounding in history.The stones at Carnac are well known but there are many more historic sites much nearer.

If golf is your game the golf course could not be nearer.It has a championship length 18 hole course and a challenging 9 hole course ,a driving range and a number of practice grounds.

There is a huge beach  at Kerhilio  7 miles away with free parking which is also reachable , on mainly traffic free trails , by bicycle

As well as golf de St Laurent  Golf de Baden is 15 minutes away and Val Queven and Ploermel (not for the faint hearted golfer)are around 30-45 minutes away.

On the road to Ploemel around 2 miles away is an adventure playground with climbs of varying degrees of difficulty in the trees.

On the road to Auray , again around 2 miles away , is a go-karting centre.

The nearest shops , post office , boulangerie,general store are in Ploemel around 3 miles away. Nearest supermarket , fuel , bank , ironmongers newsagent and others are in Belz , around 4 miles Nearest hypermarket ,and almost anything else are in Auray around 5 miles . Nearest sea is in Kerhilio around 5 miles , there is a large free car park there and we regularly cycle there , mostly off road. Etel is a pretty port near to Erdeven with trips up the river.

The French cycle a lot and have cycle tracks on the main road into Ploemel and Erdeven and forest tracks all over the place.There is a cliff top cycle track between Etel and Kerhilio.

The standing stones at Carnac are around 7 miles away as is the pretty yachting mecca at La Trinité sur mer.

At Loqmariaquer (see signs on N165) there is a reconstructed building to illustrate how they think these stones looked in their prime as well as a film show (in English).

Dining out has numerous possibilities.The clubhouse 100 yards away has a restaurant which is mainly open at lunchtimes.

The Hotel du Golf is 400 yards away but is pricey .

The quaint old port at St Goustan on the river at Auray has good eating places at reasonable cost and there  are numerous restaurants within  easy reach either by car or by cycle.

The city of Vannes is 15 miles away with every conceivable shop.
